ARTIST STATEMENT

I am a printmaker and painter born in Richmond, VA currently living and working in Queens, NY. With a deep-seated respect for craft, I drift materially between woodblock print and painting-based collage works to audiovisual worldbuilding abstractions. My work is rooted in an existential search for self and community and driven by my personal experiences with queerness, mental illness, and spirituality. Using images of solidarity, despair, Catholic iconography, and nauseating self awareness as building blocks, my compositions present tender reflections on queer domesticity and intimacy in times of crisis.
